There’s an awful lot of controversy these days surrounding healthcare. Many people believe this country should be in favor of universal healthcare. Many others believe that tampering with healthcare will cause it to fail. Still others have no idea what anyone’s talking about when the healthcare debate is mentioned. Wherever you fall on the subject of healthcare I would like to assure you of a few simple things: 1. Healthcare has been and will always be a problem for mankind while on Earth. 2. One day, Christians will forever reside in a place where no tear shall fall, no heart will break, and no illness shall win. 3. There is but one Great Physician, able to cure of all ills: Jesus Messiah.
Here's a Riddle:
Until I am measured, I am not known, Yet how you miss me, When I have flown. There may be no more precious a thing in today’s culture than time itself. Consider this: What is your time worth? Many of us measure what our time is worth in dollars and cents. That can be depressing. Minimum wage in the US is $7.25. That means you would make a little over $15,000 a year. Let’s say you live to be 90 and get 80 years of work done in your life @ that rate. In your whole life you would only have 1.2 million dollars accumulated, before taxes. Even if you double it, does 2.4 million sound like a life well spent? What if we measured our life by lives touched? What would your total be? Ephesians 5 calls on us to “redeem the time, because the days are evil.” How are you spending your time? |
